Looking to explore colour, pattern, and bold graphic design in clay? This playful one-day workshop introduces the art of inlay, a simple yet striking technique that uses layered colours and tones pressed into white clay to create expressive, eye-catching imagery.

You’ll be taken step-by-step through the inlay process, from marking out your design and developing your personal style, to carefully building up colour and texture. With live demonstrations, plenty of guidance, and time to experiment, you’ll be encouraged to explore your creativity at your own pace.

This is a hand-building workshop and requires no previous experience with clay. Using this accessible and effective technique, you’ll design and create a a number of wall hangings, plates or bowls, all featuring your unique design. The process is just as enjoyable as the outcome!

• 2 completed ceramic pieces

Additional Costs:
You’re welcome to keep two pieces from this workshop at no additional firing cost. Any additional works can be finished for $10 per piece, which covers glazing, handling, and two firings by our studio team. Your finished pieces will be ready for pickup a few weeks after the session.
