More Info: Ready to expand your skills at the wheel? This two-week intermediate course focuses on decorative throwing techniques, creative exploration, and refining form through guided practice and experimentation.
Led by artist and production potter Kate Brouwer of Asobimasu Clay, you’ll explore techniques such as split and flared rims, pinching, pulling, carving, and altering forms at the wheel. With demonstrations and personalised guidance throughout, this course encourages you to push your skills further while developing your own creative direction.
Across the two sessions you’ll throw a body of work, exploring decoration through advanced techniques, before refining and trimming your pieces in the second week, creating a varied body of work that reflects your evolving style.

Take-Home Process:
Your work will be bisque fired after your course, you are then welcome to return to the studio during staffed hours to glaze your pieces. Glaze firing fees ($15/kg) are paid at this time, with finished work ready for collection after the final firing.
