*Due to drying times for hand-building work, this class takes 1 week break before glazing & completing their work.

Skill Level: Mixed Skill, Beginner & Intermediate. Welcomes absolute beginners, those with no previous experience. As well as people seeking guidance to expand on their skills & grow their ceramics practice.

Our Term: 6 week (7 sessions). Included in your 6 week ceramic course is one complementary Open Studio session. This is a flexible session, allowing you to catch up on a missed class or have additional practice time.

Additional Costs: Firing is charged at $15/kilo on glazing week.

More Info:  In this class you will explore the foundations of hand-building with clay. Building sculptural objects and exploring the possibilities of ceramic objects made by hand. Covering a variety of methods such as slab-building, pinch potting and coiling, you’ll learn in depth the process involved in each of these methods as you create your own unique works. You will also be guided to explore underglazes, decorative surface work and the glazing process.

Offering an inclusive learning environment with knowledgeable teachers, you will complete the course with a body of work and new found love of clay & clay community.
