Join us for a magical evening, making candelabras by candlelight with multidisciplinary artist Hilary Green. In this workshop Hilary will guide you to create unique and fantastical forms fit for a candle, sharing her personal techniques in creating organic forms and ways of finding inspiration to create functional sculptures. Hilary is a Melbourne based artist who has years of experience working with clay and finding her own way to express her imagination through sculpture. This class welcomes beginners as well as those who would like the chance to expand their style and explore new techniques. As part of this romantic evening you’ll also be treated to wine and nibbles.

This workshop includes

• Wine & nibbles

• Preparation techniques, tools and clay discussion

• The design process

• Hand-building basics, joining techniques and creating balanced forms

• Creative exploration tips and tricks to find your own style

• Questions and answers around developing ideas, creative practice and inspiration

• 1-2 finished pieces to be glazed & completed at our studio

  Each participant will keep up to two final pieces from this workshop, creating a set of complimentary candle holders or one larger work. Choose your finishing glaze from our studio’s custom glaze library.
